Extension Update – May 3, 2017   arrow

On behalf of CJ Mucklow:

Salary Increases

While I have not heard any official word yet, Director Swanson did say at the Western Regional meeting he believes salary increases will be in the 2 to 2.5 percent range, on average.  As soon as something is official we will let you know.  He gave an interesting presentation about the overall University budget at the Western Region annual meeting and the probable impact of foreign student attendance slowing down which affects the overall University budget.

Annual Reviews

For most everyone Annual Reviews are complete and due to the Fiscal office by May 10th at the latest.  If you haven’t had yours yet please speak to your supervisor ASAP.  My experience has generally been that the new form is better and the review is more of a conversation, a good thing.

Job Descriptions

A big push is on from the University to have all positions correctly classified.  Stay tuned as many of us, including Regional Directors are in the process of writing ours.

Regional Meetings

You have either had yours or it is coming up soon. I want to thank the Gunnison County crew for hosting ours this year at Crested Butte.  A great tour in the Western Region was held where we learned about ag land preservation, local foods, fisheries, Gunnison watering system and connections between CSU and Western State.  Thanks Eric, Nadine and Shelby.

Conflict of Interest Forms

Conflict of Interest Forms are due now.  Please be sure and complete these.

A special thank you to Tony Koski for his April Fool’s email.  Always healthy to poke a little fun at ourselves!
