Sympathies to…

The family of Richard Travis who passed away. Richard was a former Golden Plains Area Director. The funeral service was held on Saturday March 17, 2018 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church at 510 Lincoln Street, Otis, CO. Memorials may be sent to the church.

Personal Information: I was born and raised in North Carolina, where my favorite childhood memories came from tagging along on my dad’s farm visit in his role as Cooperative Extension Specialist. I am very excited to be moving with my husband and one year old son to Routt County and look forward to exploring the incredible terrain by foot, bike, and skis.

Job Experience: Prior to working with Cooperative Extension, I worked with Dr. Becca Jablonski and Dr. Dawn Thilmany in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at Colorado State University on the Colorado Blueprint for Food and Agriculture and on an economic impact assessment of farm to school. Before moving to Colorado, I worked in California with the Sacramento County Farm Bureau, the Sacramento Area Council of Governments, and other researchers and non-profits on food system projects improving the economic viability of farmers in the state.
