Congratulations to…

Blake Osborn has been awarded two grants in April 2017. The first one is the Lower Arkansas River Watershed Plan: John Martin to Stateline for $94,000, and the second is the Groundwater & Surface Water Interactions and Potential for Underwater Storage – Phase 2 for $49,600.

Susie Hutton, Jim Beers and Joanne Littlefield (team) received the Gold Award from the Association for Communication Excellence for a video, Rockies Weather and Science Day 2016.

Kyle Christensen and the FLTI Team
received the Community Health Award from the 2017 Priester Community Award. The annual award recognizes sound and innovative health and wellness programs at the county, state and national level.

Roshan recently earned his Ph.D. in agriculture and Extension education from Pennsylvania State University. He has a M.S. in agriculture and consumer resources from Tarleton State University and a B.S. in agriculture from Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi, India.

Personal Information: Originally from Colorado, I am thrilled to be moving back to my home state after living in Florida for a year and a half. I enjoy spending time outdoors, working with animals, reading and most of all, traveling.

Job Experience: I worked as a general manager and equipment operator at Sombrero Ranches and Farms for ten years. I also taught Agricultural Education for a year, and while in graduate school, I worked on a marketing project to aid the Florida peach industry.

Kaycee Manuppella

Name: Kaycee Manuppella

Title: Program Associate, 4-H, STEM, School Enrichment/Afterschool

Personal Information: My husband and I live outside of Rifle with our twin daughters, and all of their animals. We enjoy our beautiful Colorado backyard, from camping and snowmobiling to hunting and fishing in the high country. Our family is very active in horse and livestock 4-H, and we love to cheer for our Rifle High School Lady Bears!

Job Experience: Before accepting a position in Extension, I was an elementary teacher for the past 5 years, and substitute teacher prior to that.

Andie Wommack

Name: Andie Wommack

Title: Extension Agent, Horticulture/Small Acreage

Personal Information: I was born and raised in northern Idaho on a dryland wheat farm in the area known as the Palouse. I love plants and helping people understand the agriculture industry. I enjoy photography and spending time with my best friend and her dogs.

Job Experience: Prior to CSU Extension I was a high school Agriculture teacher and FFA advisor. Watching students grow and succeed really helped solidify my passion for helping people feel and be successful in the agriculture community.

Lisa Stavic

Name: Lisa Stavig

Title: Extension Program Coordinator, 4-H National Mentor Program

Personal Information: I am a native Coloradoan and a 4-H alumni from the 1980’s in Montrose County. I have a very supportive husband and two great kids who are 4-H members and I love being a leader. I like to knit, sew and cook in my free time.

Job Experience: I worked at the Ela Family Farms- July 2006 to present, Jefferson County Extension- August 2016 to present and Denver Public Schools 1991 to 2004.

Mark Rose

Name: Mark Rose

Title: Multimedia Producer

Location: CSU Campus, State Extension Office

Date of Hire: June 2017

Personal Information: I was raised in a northwest Oklahoma town surrounded by farmland and an oilfield. I lived in Colorado during the 1990s, moved to Portland, Oregon and am now back to Colorado. My family (wife Jana, and sons Jonah and Ian) and I enjoy biking, walking our two dogs and participating in Fort Collins youth baseball.

Job Experience: My work to date has been producing video, distance learning and educational media for the City Of Portland (13 years), University of Colorado at Denver (8 years), and the USPS National Technical Training Center (6 years). I have designed three television studios and led the production team at the Auraria Media Center.
