Congratulations to…

The Larimer County Extension Office as they were recently awarded a grant! Sue Schneider is the PI on an award from NextFifty Initiative called Senior Access Points of Larimer County: Improving Information Access for Rural and Isolated Residents for $149,500 effective January 1, 2019 – December 31, 2020. Way to go Sue!

Tom Hooten was awarded a grant from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, for Radon Education in Montezuma and Delores Counties in the amount of $9,326. Congratulations Tom!

Liz Duncan and Sylvia Worcester as new Extension State Classified Staff! Liz started as the Administrative Assistant for Montrose County on December 3 and Sylvia will be an Administrative Assistant for Douglas County effective January 14. Great to have you both!

Title: Extension Agent – Horticulture and Small Acreage Management

Personal Information: I am from a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. I enjoy hiking with my dog, skiing, and cycling. I also enjoy kayaking but I am used to the wide, slow rivers in Missouri!

Job Experience: Most recently, I was Peace Corps volunteer in Tanzania where I helped start a variety of projects and educational programming. Before that, I worked for Monsanto and a small start-up biotech company.
