Participants should also read the General Rules, Livestock, Equine &amp; Small Animal Rules, and 4-H Pocket Pet sections of the <strong>Fair Premium Book<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-heading-4-font-size\">Exhibition\u00a0Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Pocket Pet Project members who intend to exhibit their animal(s) at the Adams County Fair must complete the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enroll in the Pocket Pet Project in 4-H Online<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete and submit an <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/co4h.colostate.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/27\/2025\/12\/AnimalCareForm.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Animal Care and Housing Form<\/a><\/strong> to the 4-H office by June 1<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify all cavies in 4-H Online by June 1\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Required in 4-H Online<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Animal name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Breed\/animal type<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Date acquired<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Color and markings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep record of your pocket pet project in the Companion Animal Record Book available for download on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/co4h.colostate.edu\/programs-projects\/animal-science\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Colorado 4-H website<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Present an up-to-date Companion Animal Record Book (also called e-record) with a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shop4-h.org\/products\/4-h-members-record-book-cover\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">green record book cover<\/a><\/strong> at Record Book Interviews<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter fair classes on the Fair Entry website by July 1<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete and turn in the Companion Animal Record Book with a green cover by Friday before Labor Day to the Extension Office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-content-justification-left is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-55ae9cea wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Learning Opportunities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pocket Pet Workshops<\/strong> are held at the county Fairgrounds each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a tabindex=\"0\" class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/extension.colostate.edu\/adams\/events\/\">View Upcoming Events<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Subscribe to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mailchi.mp\/adamscountyextension\/subscribe-to-fourcast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Adams County Fourcast Newsletter<\/a><\/strong> for the latest 4-H project and event updates.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Animal Science Adams County 4-H Pocket Pet Project Pocket pets include small mammals, reptiles such as lizards and turtles, amphibians, birds, fish, and more.
