In the Adams County 4-H Club Program, young people get the opportunity to\u00a0join\u00a0a community, learn problem-solving and decision-making skills by exploring more than 60 hands-on projects, and have fun together. In the Adams County 4-H Enrichment &amp; Outreach Program, youth in schools, libraries, recreation centers, and community centers are engaged in experiential learning through STEM and Health and Well-Being activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Youth who are 8-18 years old are welcome to join 4-H. Usually, we recommend that new 4-H members choose one project. Clubs usually meet once a month during the school year. Clubs in Adams County 4-H have between 10 and 70 members. Clubs are where youth work on their projects, connect with adults who may be experts in their projects, meet other kids, learn leadership skills and civic responsibility, and perform community service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4-H clubs and groups are required to charter each 4-H year, which begins on October 1 and runs through September 30 of the following year. Common officer roles include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, and Council Representatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>4-H Council Officers<\/strong> &#8211; These youth leaders represent all 4\u2011H clubs in Adams County as part of a unified council. They make decisions that shape the local 4\u2011H program and help plan events throughout the year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>4-H Committee Members<\/strong> &#8211; Youth representatives serve on a variety of committees to provide their perspective and help organize events such as clinics, shows, and more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>4-H State Officer<\/strong> &#8211; Senior 4\u2011H members interested in travel, teamwork, and advanced leadership development can run for District or State officer positions.
