{"id":303,"date":"2026-06-03T16:50:13","date_gmt":"2026-06-03T22:50:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/extension.colostate.edu\/arapahoe\/?post_type=garden-cpt&#038;p=303"},"modified":"2026-06-04T15:38:39","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T21:38:39","slug":"plains-conservation-center-demonstration-garden","status":"publish","type":"garden-cpt","link":"https:\/\/extension.colostate.edu\/arapahoe\/garden\/arapahoe-gardens\/plains-conservation-center-demonstration-garden\/","title":{"rendered":"Plains Conservation Center Demonstration Garden"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-bea02a06 wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Garden information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The demonstration garden is part of a unique partnership between\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.botanicgardens.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>The Denver Botanic Gardens<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.auroragov.org\/things_to_do\/parks__open_space___trails\/nature___open_space\/nature_centers\/plains_conservation_center\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>City of Aurora<\/strong><\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/extension.colostate.edu\/arapahoe\/offering\/arapahoe-master-gardeners\/\" data-type=\"offering-cpt\" data-id=\"249\"><strong>CSU Arapahoe County Master Gardeners<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0with all three playing roles in planning, maintenance, and food distribution. The no-till garden is period appropriate with 1800s heirloom cultivars for use for culinary and medicinal purposes.\u00a0No spraying of herbicides or pesticides is allowed. All unwanted vegetation must be pulled out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Produce is used and given away during educational programing.
