Denver County 4-H

What is 4-H?

4-H is America’s largest youth development organization—empowering nearly six million young people across the U.S. with the skills to lead for a lifetime.

In 4‑H, we believe in the power of young people. We see that every youth has valuable strengths and real influence to improve the world around us. 4-H programs empower young people to be well-informed citizens, actively engaged in their communities and the world. Youth can get involved in 4-H through clubs, in-school and after-school programs, or summer programming.

Our Mission and Vision

Denver county 4-H empowers young people to have healthy, positive relationships, develop life skills, realize their spark, and become engaged learners. 4-H empowers youth to reach their full potential, working and learning in partnership with caring adults. We are working towards creating a world in which youth and adults can learn, grow, and work together as catalysts for positive change.

Our 4-H programs are unique experiences in positive youth development, with a direct link to Colorado State University. We offer a customized, urban 4-H program, which provides hands-on experiences for diverse audiences.

We are a reliable community partner for schools and organizations, while being accessible and welcoming to all.

Partnerships

The Denver 4-H program designs programs and activities to meet the needs of youth, parents, volunteers, schools, recreation centers, libraries, community agencies, and more. Partnerships are the hallmark of urban 4-H programs and we couldn’t deliver programs without being connected to other youth-serving volunteers and organizations, including Denver Parks and Recreation, Denver Public Library, The Bridge Project, Denver Public Schools, Community Inc., and many more.
