These gardens provide education and outreach for the local community, while also functioning as a testing ground to see how plants perform in Denver&#8217;s urban setting. Each year, plants are started from seed by Master Gardeners and then transplanted at the end of May. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The garden is tended by Master Gardeners and all food is given to local food banks. This garden has been a successful partnership with Denver Parks &amp; Recreation and Grow Local Colorado.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-text\"><a tabindex=\"0\" class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/extension.colostate.edu\/denver\/vegetable-garden-diagram\/\"><strong>View a map of the 2025 garden<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-content-justification-left is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-ce8d94e6 wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Plant Select\u00ae Garden<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This dry shade demonstration garden was the first demonstration garden to be installed in front of the CSU Extension building in Harvard Gulch Park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/plantselect.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Plant Select\u00ae<\/a><\/strong> is a plant selection program that is a collaboration among CSU, Denver Botanic Gardens, and the regional horticulture industry.
