On Behalf of the State Extension Administration Office Update

Program Leadership Team (PLT) – Jan Carroll

PLT met by Adobe Connect on March 20. The purpose of the meeting was to hear reports from each Program Area Leader (PAL). Thanks to the PALs and their colleagues who were prepared and presented effectively, and to all who were able to join in the session. The notes from the meeting are posted at www.ext.colostate.edu/staffres/program/plt-minutes.html. The next PLT meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21.

NIFA Annual Report – Jan Carroll

The NIFA Annual Report (AR) was completed and submitted on time. As soon as it is approved, we will post it http://www.ext.colostate.edu/staffres/program/fed-reports.html. This was the best report I have been able to compile, thanks to your data and narratives in CPRS. I used your updated/revised Plans of Work from CPRS to craft the POW for NIFA, too.

Next County Director Training Scheduled – Judy Barth

The next installment of County Director Training is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, May 7 at 2 pm. This Adobe Connect session will focus on customer service, communication plans, and media relations. Please mark your calendars for this one-hour presentation. We will also record this session so that it is available to those who are unable to attend the webinar. More information to come.

CPRS - Did You Know? – Joy Bauder

Report ‘Approval’ Expectations

PLT approved that it isn’t required for the supervisors to approve reports for the following reasons:

  1. It is easier for staff to ‘revise’ a pending report versus reverting it back to draft. Staff can modify reports that are in draft or pending mode anytime through the calendar year.
  2. Supervisors are expected to review all staff reports and provide any feedback as needed.
  3. Staff members can also request that a report be ‘officially approved’ by their supervisor, but that needs to be communicated directly.
  4. All reports in draft and/or pending status will automatically be moved to ‘final’ draft on December 31 at 10 pm MDT.

Technology Tip

Are you using Internet Explorer and having trouble viewing all reporting options? If so, remember that compatibility view must be turned on in order for all options to appear. To turn these options on in Internet Explorer are simple.

  1. From the browser file menu select “Tools”
    Browser menu
  2. Select “Compatibility View” from the list of options
  3. If you do not see the file menu listed on your browser, look directly in the browser box and locate the following icon Compability view icon . Click the icon once, it will turn blue in color.
