Please <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/extension.colostate.edu\/gilpin\/contact\/\">contact us<\/a><\/strong> to make an appointment to purchase seeds. We accept cash and check.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Generally the best time to seed is in the late fall, just before the first significant snowfall. Preparing the soil: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Incorporate 1-3 inches of compost into soil, especially on newly installed leach fields<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Loosen soil to a depth of 3-4 inches with a rake or shovel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For even sowing, mix the seed in a bucket with moist sand. Use a ratio of 2 parts seed, 1 part sand<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spread seeds and then rake the seeds to cover with soil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Soil contact is critical.
