Entry Deadlines & Other Info
- June 1 – Lincoln County Fair & Royalty Applications
- July 1 – 4-H/FFA Horse, Livestock, Dog & FFA Ag Mechanics, General Projects, & Fashion Revue Narratives
- July 10 – 4-H Horse Advancement Program Western Level 1 riding test and the Beginner Ranch Horse riding test
- July 15 – Open Class Livestock & Ranch Horse
- July 24 – Open Class Traditional Horse Show
- August 1 – Rancher’s Pen of Three
- August 6 – Lincoln County Night-Youth & Adults
Public viewing schedule for livestock under the show barn will be as follows:
- Wednesday: 12-2 p.m.
- Thursday: 8-10 a.m. and 7-9 p.m.
- Friday: 1-3 p.m.
NOTE – There will be a $50 late fee per exhibitor after deadlines are passed – no exceptions.
Superintendents must check out all livestock exhibitors. Market Sale Animals cannot leave the fairgrounds at any time after arrival.
All livestock may be released after their respective shows, apart from market sale animals, Including any buy back animals.
GENERAL PROJECT CONSIGNMENTS:

LIVESTOCK CONSIGNMENTS:
- FINAL SALE consignments are due by 8 p.m. on August 6.
- FINAL FLOOR consignments will continue for one hour following the sale on Friday, August 7.

- 9 a.m. – Interview Judging of all General 4-H Projects, FFA Ag Mechanics, and interviews for Dog Project Class.
- 10 a.m. – 4-H/FFA Display Booths/Boards, Scrapbooks, & Other 4-H Club Books Due. Dog Project record books due.
- 3 p.m. – 4-H/Open Class Fashion Revue in Ellis Allen Building
- 3:30 p.m. – Royalty Try-Outs (Part 2)-Speeches
- 4:30 p.m. – 4-H General Project Auction
Monday, August 3
- Fair Building will be CLOSED*
- 8 a.m. – Poultry Vet Check, Check-In & Weigh-In in the Rabbit/Poultry Barn, followed by Poultry Show.
- 10:30 a.m. – Rabbit Vet Check, Check In & Weigh-in in the Rabbit/Poultry Barn, followed by Rabbit Show.
- 11 a.m. to Noon – Vet Check for Dogs
- 12:30 p.m. – Open Class & 4-H Dog Show in the show barn
- 3 p.m. (or immediately following dog show) – Take down dog arena and put up show ring
*Only poultry and rabbit exhibitors will be allowed to bring in those species’ equipment and bedding.
Tuesday, August 4
- Fair Building will be CLOSED*
- 8 a.m. – All livestock can begin arriving. Line-ups for vet check will start at this time and are required! Note: Sheep exhibitors will have priority check-in.
- 10 a.m. – 4-H/FFA Sheep Check-in & Weigh-in
- 1:30 p.m. – PeeWee, Open Class, & 4-H/FFA Breeding Sheep Show
- 4-H/FFA Market Sheep Showmanship
- 4-H/FFA Market Sheep Show
- Noon to 3 p.m. – All Photos of Market Sale Rabbits, Poultry, & Sheep are to be taken
- 4:30 p.m. – 4-H/FFA Beef, Meat Goats & Swine in place
- 4:45 p.m. – All Livestock Exhibitors meet with Superintendents
- 5 p.m. – Beef, Meat Goat & Swine Weigh-in (Market Beef must be declared for the ultrasound contest at weigh-in)
- 6 p.m. – Ranch Rodeo
- 6:30 p.m. – 4-H/FFA Livestock Judging Come & Go Fun Contest
*Stall assignments will be posted Tuesday morning. Equipment and bedding can begin arriving at 8 a.m. for designated equipment area and stalls.
Wednesday, August 5
- 8 to 9 a.m. – Vet Check for breeding stock coming onto grounds.
- 9 a.m. – Fair Building Open & Open Class Indoor Entries Taken
- 10 a.m. – Pee Wee, Open Class, & 4-H/FFA Dairy Goat & Breeding Meat Goat Show*
- 4-H/FFA Meat Goat Market Showmanship

- Noon – Vendors may set up in the indoor building.
- 3 p.m. – All Swine exhibitors meet with Superintendent.
- 4 p.m. – Open Class, PeeWee & Breeding Swine Show**

- 6 p.m. – Fair Building & Open Class Indoor Entries Closed

Thursday, August 6
- 7 to 9 a.m. – Vet Check for breeding stock and Rancher’s Pen of Three coming onto grounds.
- 8 a.m. – Fair Building Open
- 7 to 9:30 a.m. – Lincoln County Cattlewomen Free Beef Breakfast (Southwest of Rodeo Arena)
- 7 to 9:30 a.m. – Check in Ranchers Pen of 3 (heifers)
- 9 a.m. – Judging Open Class Indoor Exhibits
- 9:30 a.m. – Ranchers Pen of 3 Judging
- 10 a.m. – Dairy Cattle Show
- 11 a.m. – PeeWee, Open Class, Bucket Calf, & 4-H/FFA Breeding Beef Show
- 2 p.m. (or 30 minutes following Breeding Show) –
- 4-H/FFA Market Beef Showmanship*

- 4 p.m. – Entries for Youth & Adult County night in the Entry office located on the south side of the arena.
- 4:30 to 7 p.m. – Multi-species Rabies Vaccinations – $15 per Vaccination. Provided by Eastern Colorado Veterinary Service (dogs, cats, horses, cattle, goats, sheep)
- 5 to 7 p.m. – Lincoln County Stockman’s Steak Fry Homemade cobbler donated by Lincoln County Cattle Women with the Eastern Plains Cowbelles & Friends Benefit Auction

- 7 p.m. – Vona Dance Studio- Performing Under the Awning

Friday, August 7
- 7 to 8 a.m. – Vet Check for Round Robin animals if coming back onto grounds.
- 8 a.m. – Fair Building Open
- 9 a.m to Noon – 4-H/FFA Beef Ultrasounds
- 9 a.m. – 4-H/FFA Round Robin
- 1 p.m. – Pocket Pets (Youth Under 8), youth must be able to talk to Judge. (Under covered area next to Fair Office)
- 1 p.m. – 4-H/FFA exhibitor check in meeting with Superintendents & Livestock Sale set-up.
- 3 p.m. – Livestock exhibitors must be checked out with the Superintendents before 4 p.m. on Friday, even if Livestock are leaving after the sale.
- 4 p.m. – Junior Livestock Sale & Buyer’s BBQ
- 6:30 p.m. – Mutton Bustin – See “Rodeo & Track Events” for more info.
- 7:30 p.m. – PRCA Rodeo
- 7:30 p.m. – Fair Building Closed
- 8 p.m. (or for 1 hour following sale) – Final Livestock Floor Consignments Due
- 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. – Free Dance under the awning. Logan Ellis Band will be performing.
Saturday, August 8
- There will be NO 4-H or Open Class Animals for Public Viewing
- 9 a.m. – Parade Entries Judged
- 10 a.m. – Parade Downtown
- 10 a.m. – Fair Building Open
- Noon – Mutton Bustin – See “Rodeo & Track Events” for More Info
- 1 p.m. – All livestock and equipment must be removed from the barns, and all pens must be cleaned by 1:00 p.m.
- 1:30 p.m. – Horse Races – See “Rodeo & Track Events” for More Info
- 1:30 p.m. – PRCA Rodeo
- 2 to 4 p.m. – Release of All Indoor Exhibits (Open Class & 4-H & FFA) and Vendor tear down in the building
- 4 p.m. – Exhibit Building Closes
- 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. – Free Dance under the awning. Triple Nickel Band will be performing.
