2026 Shooting Sports – Archery Contest Results

In a very competitive archery shoot, 26 youth competed to capture their place on the Morgan County 4-H Archery Team who will compete at the State 4-H Shooting Sports Contests in August.  The contest was held at the Morgan County Fairgrounds on Sunday, July 12, 2026.  Youth have participated in practices held by certified 4-H archery instructors for the past three months in preparation for the County Fair shoot.

In the Senior Recurve Traditional, Jacob Whitney placed 1st and Elizabeth Whitney, 2nd.

Wyatt Johnson was first in the junior archery compound traditional class. Wesson Farnik placed 2nd; Maura Walter, 3rd; Ella Farnik, 4th; Fowler Farnam, 5th; Grayson Thomas 6th. Porter Halde, Cason Paris, Delaynie Piper, and Hiromasa Keehner also competed in the junior class. Katelynn Johnson won the senior division in compound traditional. Cole Koch placed 2nd; Erica Hess 3rd; Piper Neal 4th; Faith Dalrymple 5th.

The junior archery compound limited competition was led by Jaden Baker, 1st, followed by Raylan Neal, 2nd; Edward Arndt 3rd; Cora Paris 4th; Daxton Baker 5th. For the senior age group in archery compound limited, Seth Whitney came in 1st; Annalena Werner 2nd; Kylee Waller 3rd.

Superintendents for the archery contest were Stephaine Johnson, Paul Oliviera, Levi Dixon, Spencer Farnik, and Janie Whitney.
