4-H Global Citizenship Project
The 4‑H Global Citizenship Project encourages youth to learn about other cultures, countries, and international perspectives.
- Unit 1 introduces members to the study of a selected country through pen‑pal exchanges, cultural festivals, and presentations, culminating in an exhibit notebook.
- Unit 2 allows Senior members to research and present on global issues and optionally participate in the Colorado GROW Youth Institute, where they investigate food insecurity and propose solutions.
- Unit 3 involves hosting an international delegate and documenting the experience.
- Unit 4 offers members ages 11–18 the chance to travel abroad or stay with a host family, creating an exhibit that reflects their learning and builds intercultural understanding.

SLV Area Clubs
The San Luis Valley Area has several 4-H clubs that coordinate events and help mentor youth members through a variety of 4-H projects. Most clubs meet once a month.
San Luis Valley Global Citizenship Project Details
This project educates on the basic knowledge of global citizenship.
You must complete a global citizenship according to state fair requirements along with a completed record book.
Requirements:
- Attend 2 projects meetings.
- Record book in a 3-ring folder will need to accompany your project.
