4-H Poultry Project
The Colorado 4‑H Poultry Project helps youth learn how to raise, manage, and evaluate poultry while building responsibility, setting goals, and maintaining accurate records.
Beginners are introduced to poultry anatomy, nutrition, proper feeding, disease prevention, and producing safe, quality products. Intermediate members deepen their knowledge through hands‑on bird care, flock management, exhibiting poultry, and improving sportsmanship and public speaking. Advanced participants raise their own birds, explore current issues in the poultry industry, strengthen leadership abilities, investigate poultry‑related careers, and form lasting friendships.
