4-H Cat Project
The Colorado 4‑H Cat Project helps youth learn every part of responsible cat care and ownership.
- Unit 1 introduces the essentials—selecting a cat, basic care and grooming, understanding breeds, recognizing health needs, and practicing safety.
- Unit 2 builds on this foundation through training and showmanship while reinforcing responsibility and proper daily care.
- Unit 3 encourages leadership growth by having youth compare feline life stages, help organize clinics or shows, learn about local regulations, and teach others about cats.
Counties that offer cat shows may require members to complete the Companion Animal e‑Record. Those creating a project display board must use the Cat‑Display Board e‑Record.
