Denver County 4-H
4-H is America’s largest youth development organization—empowering nearly six million young people across the U.S. with the skills to lead for a lifetime. We believe that every child has valuable strengths and real influence to improve the world around us. 4-H programs empower young people to be well-informed citizens, actively engaged in their communities and the world.
Denver Master Gardeners
The Colorado State Extension Master Gardener® program (known locally as the Denver Master Gardener program) is a unique intersection between University Horticulture expertise and community volunteers interested in educating locally. As a Colorado State Extension Master Gardener®, you’ll be a CSU Extension volunteer giving back in your local community.

CSU Denver Extension Demonstration Gardens
Denver Master Gardeners maintain three demonstration gardens in Harvard Gulch Park. These gardens serve as a means of education and outreach for the local community, while also functioning as a testing ground to see how plants perform in our urban Denver setting.
Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP)
Denver Extension offers nutrition education throughout the community to at-risk populations. The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) curriculum provides an eight-session course where each meeting includes nutrition education, healthy shopping tips, physical activity, and a cooking demonstration. Best of all, EFNEP is free for those who are eligible!
