Huerfano County Extension
Huerfano County Extension helps residents improve their quality of life by offering educational opportunities and programs that provide unbiased, research-based information on forestry, wildfire, gardening, and more. Through our 4-H programs, we help youth develop valuable life skills.
Our mission
Our mission is to provide trusted, research-based information and education that helps address local, state, and national issues affecting youth, families, agricultural enterprises, and communities across Southeast Colorado.
We are part of the land-grant university system nationwide. We draw from the University’s research-based resources to strengthen community partnerships, boost the economy, engage families and youth, and enhance our quality of life.
