Boulder County 4-H Goat Project

The 4-H goat project guides youth in learning how to raise and care for goats while building responsibility, goal setting, and record-keeping skills.

Beginners learn about goat anatomy, nutrition, digestion, disease prevention, and record keeping. Intermediate members explore technology’s role in goat production as they develop management, exhibition, and communication skills. Advanced participants address industry issues, mentor younger members, and explore leadership opportunities.

Boulder 4-H supports four goat projects:

  • Dairy Goat
  • Fiber Goat
  • Market/Breeding Goat
  • Utility Goat
