Event description
Join us for an open garden day with Jefferson County Master Gardeners onsite to answer questions. In addition, a free workshop on landscaping with low flammability plants will be provided from 10:30 am – 12:00. The focus of the workshop will be how to create and build a home landscape design incorporating concepts of defensible space, important design principles and the important decisions homeowners should make to help protect their home from a wildland fire.
The 90-minute workshop will begin at 10:30 at the Lookout Mountain Preserve and Nature Center.
