Community & Economic Development
Building stronger communities and local economies
CSU Extension supports Colorado communities by fostering meaningful partnerships, providing educational resources, programming, and outreach that foster entrepreneurship, workforce development, and community vitality.
Whether you’re a local leader, business owner, organizer, volunteer, or resident, you can find support to help your community grow and thrive.

Family Leadership Training Institute
The Family Leadership Training Institute (FLTI) of Colorado seeks to bridge the gap between local residents and decision-makers in order to foster the co-creation of programs and policies that reflect multiple community voices.
Regional Economic Development Institute
A key CSU Extension partner, the Regional Economic Development Institute (REDI@CSU), conducts hands-on research to better understand and support economic development, especially in communities facing challenges in both rural and urban areas of Colorado. REDI builds on over 20 years of economic and development research that shows how rural and urban regions share connections and opportunities.
