Plant Diagnostics & Insect Identification

Are your plants having trouble? We can help you figure out the problem. Diagnostic services include:

  • Insect ID (Free)
  • Basic Plant Diagnostic (Free)
  • Plant Diagnostic Lab Analysis (price varies by test)

We can diagnose many issues through insect ID or basic plant diagnostics. If we’re unable to confirm the issue, we will work with CSU’s Plant Diagnostic Lab to identify the issue.

Hay Sampling

Looking to get a nutrient analysis of your hay? We have a hay sampling probe to help collect the best representative sample from your lot and help connect you with a lab for analyzing the results. Time permitting, we’ll even help you out with sampling! Below are costs associated with this service:

Soil Testing & Analysis

Whether you’re a gardener in need of information about your soil or an agricultural producer wanting fertilizer recommendations for your fields, we’re here to assist. Soil services provided include:

Pesticide Applicator Exam Center

Our Garfield office is a proctor location for Colorado Pesticide Applicator examinations. Tests are required for Qualified Supervisor, Certified Operator and Private Pesticide Applicator licensure. Visit the Colorado Environmental Pesticide Education Program for more information and study resources. We have hard copies of the Colorado Private Pesticide Applicator study manual available at our office.

Complete an exam application and schedule exam(s) through Metro Institute. During registration you will be able to pick the time and location for your exam. There is an examination fee of $41.50 per test. After passing your exam(s), there is a $75 license fee due to the CDA.
