Tiffany Brown graduated from FLTI of Arapahoe/Douglas in 2011. Years later, she continues to lead in her community.

Since graduating, Brown has taken on leadership positions with her child’s elementary school that allow her to promote healthy food and activity for all students. She serves on the school health committee and is also the room parent for her student’s class. A notable success in theses roles is her implementation of the school’s first active and healthy outdoor Fall Festival.

Fernando Almanza is an award-winning community leader. Almanza, with the other members of his Mobile Dispatch Team, received a Public Safety Appreciation Award in September 2017 for the vital work they do to keep their community safe.

Almanza combined his career as a 911 dispatcher with his civic project last spring, First Responders: Heroes in the Shadows, which featured hands-on demonstrations presented to 400 individuals in the community about how to effectively communicate with dispatchers in the face of emergencies.

Additionally, in March 2018 Almanza was named Difference Maker of the Month by the Eagle River Youth Coalition.
