About Us
Southeast Area Extension
Southeast Area Extension is part of Colorado State University Extension and serves communities across Southeast Colorado by providing trusted, practical, research-based education. We work with individuals, youth, families, agricultural producers, and communities to help solve problems, develop skills, and build a better future.
The Southeast Area includes Baca, Bent, Cheyenne, Crowley, Kiowa, Otero, and Prowers counties.
Our mission
Our mission is to provide trusted, research-based information and education that helps address local, state, and national issues affecting youth, families, agricultural enterprises, and communities across Southeast Colorado.
We are part of the land-grant university system nationwide. We draw from the University’s research-based resources to strengthen community partnerships, boost the economy, engage families and youth, and enhance our quality of life.
