Save the date!
The 2019 Annual Extension Retiree Social will be a LUNCHEON on Friday, June 14 at the Pelican Lakes Club House, 1600 Pelican Lakes Point, Windsor, CO 80550. Social time begins at 10:30 am and the Fajita Buffet Bar is at noon followed by some fun activities and attendee drawings. A golf course tour is available after drawings. Current Extension Employees are also invited to attend. This will be a great way for you to visit with previous colleagues who you have not seen since they retired. Registration is $30 per person, due by Tuesday, June 4. Epsilon Sigma Phi – Zeta Chapter is collecting registration. Julie Hill, Karla Cortez, and Kaylie McKenna as new Extension State Classified employees. Julie started as an Administrative Assistant in El Paso County on April 8. Karla is also serving as an Administrative Assistant for El Paso County as of April 15. Kaylie started as the Human Resource Technician for the State Extension Administration Office on April 24. Personal Information: I moved to Colorado 11 years ago from the East Bay Area of California. I have three awesome kids through adoption who cannot wait to be old enough to be livestock members of 4-H. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats who will probably become project animals as well. I have been the Cake and Specialty Foods leader for Park County 4-H for the past 5 years and also volunteer as the Park County Fair Royalty Program Coordinator.
Job Experience: I began working in my family’s hardware store at age 5 in California and did that until age 30 when I decided to follow my passion and went back to school for Culinary Arts. I worked as a Pastry Chef at Bronco Stadium, The Convention Center and the Red Rocks Country Club, and then as the opening Sous Chef for the Wild Game in Evergreen.
