May 13, 2015

On Behalf of CJ Mucklow:

Conflict of Interest

You shoud have this completed by the end of this week. I know several of you (me too!) have had challenges making the system work. If you are still having challenges please contact your regional director to get some help making the program work.

Western Region Vacancies

  • Tri River Area Family and Consumer Science Agent, Montrose. This search has concluded and we are in the final phase of selecting a candidate.
  • Tri River Area Horticulture Coordinator, Mesa County. Susan Honea has accepted this position, effective June 1, 2015. Susan previously worked for Extension in Oregon.

Program Leadership Team (PLT)

The next meeting of PLT will be May 21 via internet conferencing. The main purpose of the meeting is to set agendas and times for Program Updates at Forum. This year’s

Forum is really content update based around the Program Reporting Units (PRU’s). If you have any input for speakers at your session(s) please contact the PRU chair to make a recommendation.

Director’s Administrative Council (DAC)

This is the group that takes on issues for staff that affect the overall goals of Extension. Each region has field representatives and all regional directors attend. The group meets May 26th on campus. If you have an issue you would like discussed please contact your regional director or your regional representative.

Salary and Performance Appraisal Task Forces

Both of these groups presented at all three regional meetings and sought further input from staff on the directions they’re going. Both created a powerpoint. If you weren’t able to attend a regional meeting but would like to see the respective presentation please contact Travis Hoesli for the Performance Appraisal presentation or Eric McPhail for the Salary presentation.

Regional Meetings

Looks like great regional meetings were had by all. Nice picture of the Front Range Region at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch. Great tour of range sheep operations in the Western Region and fun for all in Salida for the Peaks and Plains.
