Congratulations to . . .

Thia Walker, Troy Bauder and Jeff Edwards from University of WY were awarded a grant from Syngenta for research on “Using Modern Technology to Decontaminate Pesticide-Exposed Clothing” in the amount of $104,942.

Liza Poet (past student employee in State Extension Office) is getting married on September 17th to Todd Campbell in Basalt, Colorado. Best wishes to Liza and Todd!

Kim Jones (Arapahoe County) resigned on August 12. Good luck to her as a marriage and family therapist!

Sympathies to…

The family of Sherman (Ken) Oakleaf who passed away on August 3. Ken served as the Community Development Specialist and Assistant to the Director from 1961-1983. Family services are planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, Ken requested contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Collins.

The family of Robert (Bob) Wiley who passed away on August 8. Bob was a 4-H Extension Agent in Weld County from 1949-1951. A memorial service was held on August 12 at the Avondale United Methodist Church in Avondale, Colorado. Donations may be made to Avondale United Methodist Church.

The family of Maxine Tamlin who passed away on August 16. Maxine made a career of over thirty years at Colorado State University working at the Engineering Research Center, the Personnel Office, the College of Agricultural Sciences, and Extension. A memorial service was held on August 24. Friends may send condolences to the family at www.bohlenderfuneralchapel.com.

The family of Jim Doyle who passed away on August 25. Jim started in 1952 as an agent in Fremont and Custer Counties and went on to become a Water Conservation agent in Pueblo County. In 1967, he moved to the Tri River Area as an Area then District agent. He retired in 1979. There are no services planned at this time.

Kenzie Krinkee

Name: Kenzie Krinkee
Title: Extension Program Associate, 4-H Youth Development/Livestock

Personal Information: I grew up in Bozeman, Montana and was a 10 year member of Gallatin County 4-H, primarily participating in the horse project and taking numerous leadership roles within 4-H at the club and county committee level. I also participated in High School Rodeo and went on to rodeo on the CSU Rodeo team while obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Equine Science with a minor in Business Administration. I then went on to pursue a career in Extension 4-H. My personal hobbies outside of my professional life include working horses, backpacking, hiking, and walking my dog Mesa.

Job Experience: After graduating from Colorado State University in May 2014, I worked as an intern for the Adams County 4-H Program where I found my passion for once again working with 4-H. After my internship with Adams County 4-H, I was hired in January 2015 by University of Wyoming Extension as the 4-H Educator in Teton County, Wyoming located in beautiful Jackson WY.
