Chaffee County 4-H

4-H is America’s largest youth development organization—empowering nearly six million young people across the U.S. with the skills to lead for a lifetime. We believe that every child has valuable strengths and real influence to improve the world around us. 4-H programs empower young people to be well-informed citizens, actively engaged in their communities and the world. 

School programs

Chaffee County Extension offers school programs that bring hands‑on, research‑based learning into the classroom to support and enhance state standards. Through 4‑H, students can explore a variety of subjects with interactive activities that connect directly to in‑school learning. Summer programs & camps

Chaffee County Extension offers engaging summer programs and camps that provide hands‑on learning experiences for youth in partnership with local organizations. Beekeeping in the Mountain West

CSU Extension brings an online beekeeping program tailored specifically for the Colorado and Mountain West region. This program is for individuals who are passionate about the environment and interested in learning how to support healthy honeybee colonies in the unique Mountain West region.
