Extension’s New Online Directory – Darrin Goodman

The rollout of Extension’s new website has occurred in stages.  During the initial rollout, our focus was on building out the content pages of the website.  Once that task was completed, we shifted our sights towards creating a new online directory.  Although it took a bit of time and there were some obstacles to overcome along the way, the new Extension online directory is now available for use: http://extension.colostate.edu/staff-directory

Top navigation bar for Extension website

As illustrated in the above screenshot, the County Office List and the Online Directory can be accessed from the top of any page within the Extension website.

On the directory page, you’ll notice four different search options:

Search on the new directory

View All: Click on the View All link to view an A-Z list of the Extension staff.

Select Category: The Select Category dropdown menu allows you to filter data by Region, Area, or County.  Experiment with this feature to see how it works.  The menu is organized as follows:

Directory categories
For example, in the screenshot below, the “Peaks and Plains Region” is listed as the parent category, and counties are nested underneath including the “Golden Plains Area”.  Nested below are Counties in the GPA.

Search: The Search box allows you to search the directory by typing a keyword or key phrase.  Search by name, street, city, expertise, or any other text associated with someone in the directory.

A-Z List: Click on a letter to view all individuals whose last name starts with that letter.

Erratum:
Please take a moment to find your listing in the directory.  If you find any spelling errors or any other issues, please let me know.  If your listing does not include a photo, please email a quality photo of yourself to me and I will get it posted right away.  Thank you!
