Congratulations to . . .

Barrett and Mallory Sikes, Baca County, on the birth of their daughter, Piper Antoinette Sikes, born on October 8. Piper weighed 6 lbs. 7 oz. and was 19.5 “ in length.

 Sympathy to . . .

The family of Gwen Bosley. Gwen passed away on September 29. A celebration of life service was held on October 6 in Lamar, Colorado. In the past, Gwen worked as an Ag writer on the Extension communications team.

Dennis Lamm (retired professor in Animal Sciences). Dennis’s mother-in-law, Mary “Rita” Murphy, passed away on October 11. Services were held on October 15 in Williamsburg, Iowa.

Personal Information: I was raised in Erie, Colorado on a small farm where my family raised sheep, goats, horses and cattle. I grew up actively involved in Adams County 4-H where I participated in Livestock Projects, Family and Consumer Science Projects and in numerous leadership development opportunities. It was that involvement that sparked my love and passion for 4-H and Extension. In my free time, I still enjoy showing my horses and sheep at shows throughout Colorado.

Job Experience: Prior to my start in this position, I worked for Weld County Extension as the 4-H Program Assistant, Jean Hoshiko Memorial Endowment.

Wilma Trujillo

Name: Wilma Trujillo

Personal Information: I was born and raised in Colombia. In 1990, I moved to the USA to continue my education. I enjoy traveling, cooking exotic food and brewing my one beer.

Job Experience: Prior to joining CSU Extension in 2010, I worked as a research associate at the University of Florida and the Ohio State University. I also worked for the horticulture industry planning and managing the daily activities of all aspects of crop growth.
